As Cisco is transforming its business model purposefully to a software and recurring revenue model, security business is leading this journey with 40%+ YoY growth in software recurring revenue.
The Cloud Security group within SBG focuses on developing cloud delivered security solutions (SaaS based) in a platform centric approach. This group is an autonomous group within the business group, and operates like a Startup to further innovation in a highly radical and high growth domain. This group was formed a year back by combining some of existing cloud assets Cisco had with two hugely successful acquisitions - OpenDNS and CloudLock. Our vision is to build the most complex security solutions in a cloud delivered way with utmost simplicity - disrupt industry's thinking around how deep and how broad a security solution can be while keeping it easy to deploy and simple to manage. We are at an exciting stage of this journey with 100% YoY growth, and looking for a hardworking, innovative and committed engineering leader for our Product Engineering group to help us scale our business.

Who You’ll Work With
Cisco Secure is a leading provider of network security services enabling the world to connect with confidence on any device, anywhere, anytime. We are passionate about SIG, SASE and SSE world and our product portfolio includes the cloud delivers firewall, IPS and VPN integrations and inspection services as highly available distributed systems using cloud engineering practices.
What You'll Do
- Own, execute and deliver significant features and initiatives with cross-team collaboration.
- Solve important customer problems and deliver the most impactful results.
- Track project status & deliverables, balance high quality product delivery under tight schedules and foster long term innovation.
- Lead all phases of product development, operations, and maintenance.
- Guide the team in system design, development and scaling of functional components.
- Influence the team for best software development practices and effective DevOps.
- Lead strategic quality, consistency and scalability renaissance initiatives within the organization.
- Enable team members to do their best work.
- Contribute to a no-blame culture that values learning, transparency, accountability, trust, kindness, and mutual respect.
Who You Are
- You have 10+ years of experience in leading and architecting software engineering solutions.
- You have Experience with SaaS and Cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Golang, Python, Terraform, and AWS technologies like DDB, Lambda, and EKS
- You have experience with data plane and web application technologies including C/C+, Rust, GO, Python and automation
- Experience building RESTful APIs and API Communication using modern API gateways
- Experience with DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous deployment practices.
- Proven understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Working knowledge of testing methodologies, monitoring, observability tools, and techniques
- Knowledge of Networking(WAN, SDWAN), routing/switching, L3/L4, TCP/IP is a plus
- Experience building packages for CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with federal compliance requirements (SOC2 and/or fedRAMP) in a DevOps environment
- Participate in/drive threat modeling and risk management of our infrastructure
Highly desirable competencies
- Experience in building cloud delivered SaaS based security solutions
- Expertise in Security domain - exposure to CASB, network or web security technologies and industry trends - firewalls, web security, intrusion detection and prevention systems and DNS based security
- Good knowledge of emerging cyber threats and threat intelligence techniques to detect and remediate threats
- Experience on cloud, network and end point technologies
- Proven skills in running a high growth business and scaling engineering teams

Familiarity with Federal compliance requirements (SOC2 and/or FedRAMP) in a DevOps environment.
- Master's degree on Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred.
